The Victorian State Government has announced our very own Managing director, Dr Collette Burke as the first Chief Engineer of Victoria.
Dr Burke’s expertise in both the private and public sectors, the former Director of the National Association of Women in Construction, current Director of VicTrack and of course our Managing Director here at Exner Group made her an excellent choice for this role.
Dr Burke’s role will involve her providing advice to the Government on major infrastructure projects and her expertise when developing and delivering new projects. Experience in civil works, building and construction, project management, infrastructure policy, legal and architectural expertise and knowledge of government process. Not only that, Dr Burke will also ensure the industry is properly regulated for safety compliance and competency.
Victoria continues to invest $10.2 billion a year on improving the infrastructure of our city. Current projects includes the Metro Tunnel and the level crossing removals which will create 50,000 jobs state-wide.
“Dr Collette Burke brings with her the experience needed to guide our record spend into the future – ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and at the highest possible standard.”
The Exner Team proudly support Dr Collette Burke’s appointment as the Chief Engineer of Victoria and we look forward to supporting her in this role.
